Do less less, learn much more!

What do MOST teachers do?.......Yes! You are right! They give you alot of work. Worksheets lah, assessment books, exercise books, projects lah, etc... That is what most teachers do. But there are exceptions like Miss Chia. Do you believe in the saying "Do less, Learn more" ? Well, I do. Miss Chia gave us an example of this. Let's say, spelling. Everytime you get your spelling results, aiya! An egg! So, go to school early, then say," Oi, let me copy your corrections!" Then hand in corrections. Get back the paper, wrong again! Same mistakes!!!! Ok, very fustrated. Tell another friend to let you copy the corrections. Copy already, hand in....Wrong again! How are you going to break out of that cycle? The answer is do less, learn more. You take what you learn and remember it for life. Then you will never repeat the same old mistake. Ok? Like how do you spell "unconscious"? Some people like me always spell it as "unconcious"! So I must take note of the error. Understand????

Any advice on special strategies to remember how to spell all these confusing words? Another word is "collapse", always spelt as "collaspe". If you can publish tips, it will really be useful. Other words,
1) ecstatic
2) embarrassed
3) successful
4) disappointed

Maybe the Eng Dept can work on this. Last year I taught some strategies like "Eat Your Noodle, You Don't Die" to remember common misconceptions.

Perhaps you can help your friends recap what I taught last year by publishing it then use creative and innovative strategies to tackle the new challenges. What say you, Mr English?
