Lavender, Beggars' World?

If you have ever been to Lavender, just outside the MRT station, you will definitely see some old or maybe middle-aged people lying on the chairs, sleeping, talking...Some of them are homeless and often loiter around there...Well, whenever I walk pass, I will be very curious and observe their behaviour and outer appearence...They seem to be quite poor.
There is 1 particular man who has a missing leg. Which means he puts on a fake, plastic leg. Okay, I didn't know that until he took it off and lay down on the chairs to sleep. It was so gross ! Imagine someone taking off his 'leg' in front of you. Anyway, I don't really like Lavender but I have to pass by there to get to my church. Lavender is filled with beggars and the hawker centers or coffee shops there, the hygiene is really...BAD ! I don't dare to eat at the coffee shop although sometimes I do. But when I go there, there will be crippled people, legless people, selling tissues, collecting cans, eating leftovers. That is why whenever I go there, I lose my appetite...
I remember seeing a man gathering leftovers into a plastic bag...Then he just ate his collection or some sort of mix of leftovers. Horrible, isn't it ? But I can't help pitying those people. They either got abandoned by their children or are without kith nor kin. Haiz..I hope people will show love for them and maybe pay for their stay in a old folk's home so they won't have to loiter around places.
Although the poor beggars disgust you sometimes, they are really pitiful...
Well, just sharing with you what I observe every Sunday ! =)

Anti Drug Abuse Essay

"Larry, do you want to go to the nightclub tonight? Good for relaxing!" Jason asked.
"Sorry, I can’t," I replied with guilt in my eyes. Hopefully he did not know that I was lying. To my surprise, he insisted that I went. I hesitated. Nightclubs were bad. But with Jason blabbering away about how good the nightclub was, I could not help but agree.
At night, some friends, Jason and I went to a nightclub near Geylang. A great commotion was going on in there. As I stepped into the nightclub, the aroma of different types of wine and beer filled my nostrils. People from all walks of life, drunk and sober filled the nightclub. I was amazed at the sight. We grabbed a seat each and settled down.
"Four jugs of beer!" Jason shouted to the bartender. This was surely not his first time here. I took a glass of beer and stared at it, hard. Holding my breath, I took a gulp of it. How bitter, I thought.
Suddenly, Jason asked, "Larry, want to try something good?" My curiosity aroused.
"Okay…" I answered with a tinge of innocence in my eyes. Suspiciously, he took out a packet of pills from his pocket. Drugs! I was shocked. Utterly shocked. They were illegal.
"How could you?" I questioned, still recovering from shock. Jason just replied with a smirk on his face.
"Try one," he said. I recoiled in shock. No way would I ever touch drugs! I turned him down flatly.
"Come on! It wouldn’t hurt…Unless you are a coward," Jason urged. I was in a dilemma. Should I take it? After much consideration, I took one pill of Ecstasy.
It tasted fine. Gradually, I felt drowsy. I felt like I was floating, I felt…great! The feeling was beyond description. I started hallucinating. My body was shaking uncontrollably. Unknowingly, I became addicted to the Ecstasy.
"If you want more, meet me at Bedok tomorrow morning," Jason said with a grin. I nodded my head in agreement.
The next day, I made my way to Bedok. Jason was waiting at a playground, gesturing to me. He handed me a packet of pills. Just then, a few policemen came out of hiding. Jason and I sprinted out of the playground, hoping to flee. Alas, it was too late! We were caught and were tested positive for consumption of drugs.]
As I stepped into jail, tears flowed down my cheeks. Why did I consume drugs? I had brought sorrow upon my family. I had brought sorrow upon myself…

P.S. MC, there are 425 words here. I really cannot cut down anymore. Can you help me please?
