Ouch! Eww...

Today was a typical day...at first. At 8.00am sharp, we lined up and marched to the 6th floor with butterflies in our stomach. We were overwhelmed with apprehension. Luckily, we took our height and weight first. But the worst had not even started...We tested our eyes and went to the IT resource room, I think. I will just skip this part(refer to other blogs). Now, the worst was not over...We went to sit down and waited for our turn to take the jab. With every second that passed, I felt more and more nervous. Would it be like an ant bite? Would it be like a splinter? What would they do to me? Well, "Next, boy!!'. It was my turn! I went there, sat down and answered the rountine questions.
Then, I saw them brandish a needle, or whatever that is. I closed my eyes, clenched my fist and gritted my teeth. Ouch, I said in my mind. Wow! The pain was just...PAINFUL! But it was really nothing. Just a few minutes of pain.
Next, I went to have my second jab. Down on the chair I sat...This time, I shut my eyes, clenched my fist and gritted my teeth even harder, for fear that it would be even more painful. Suddenly, the nurse said,"Done!" I opened my eyes. It was a miracle! I did not feel a thing, maybe a bit. I was so happy. But then, the nurse said,"Ahhh..." I opened my mouth, and down went a few droplets of bitter liquid. Eeew! I almost puked.
Finally I could go back to class. When I came out of the room, the people outside asked,"Was it painful? Did you cry?" And so on.... My answer was the same. "Not really!"
And so I went to class feeling relieved. But then, there is this funny thing. When I took my first jab, it was painful. Now, it doesn't even hurt a bit. As for the second jab, it was not painful at all. But now, as I am typing, my arm is aching from the second jab. Weird, isn't it?
