Memorable incidents in 2004:):(

There were uncountable memorable incidents in the year 2004...Well. There was maybe 1 very happy and memorable incident. It was the 2nd or was it 3rd day of the P5 camp. We were having the campfire which was preety small. I was in the group "Elrond". On that day, each group had to perform an item. We had to make a cheer. And it went something like this" Elrond is the best best! He is the best best!....." When we went up, i purposely chose a place that was behind and ppl could not see me. Then we started our weird "cheer". I thot it was really lame actually. ( yOU MiGhT tHinK tHaT ThIS iNcIdEnt IS nOt wOrTH rEMeMbeRinG BUt i ReAllY Can't rEcAll ANythIng ElsE)

Another memorable incident was during the children's day performance by the teachers. I liked almost all of the shows but there was 1 that I could not forget. The performance was performed by none other than..... The sporting P5 teachers!!! Miss Chia was the host and she introduced all the performances by the contestants who were trying to win the LODI competition.Ms Juliana was Rokia, Mrs Ng and Mrs Lim were the Chopstick Babes, Mr Kang and Mr Wond were the mad people. And Mr Ben was Ah Meng's disciple. Miss Juliana's performance was the best! She sang Rock a Bye Baby on the Treetop in the pop way. It was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo funny that I could not control my laughs and burst out laughing. Way to go, ROKIA! Miss Chia was a good host too. Way to go, MISS CHIA! And Way to go, ALL THE P5 TEACHERS!

I have learnt about the useful HOMs from Miss Chia. The superb way for tackling problem sums from Ms Juliana. The fun way of learning Chinese from Mdm Min. The way to relax from Ms Loy...(not to forget singing songs). They really left a great impact in my learning and I thank them!

I learnt about good habits like persisting, applying past knowledge to new situations....striving for accuracy. I will apply them for everything regardless of academic or life procesess. These habits will help me and I will spread them so that more people will know about the HOMs and continue spreading. They r really useful!

I will remember.....Miss Chia for her fun and creative ways of teaching. I really like it and I simply hate missing English. They will always be laughter and happiness in her class even if someone was being scolded. She strives to make us the best we can be. I remember for children's day, she gave us meaningful presents! Of course, Ms Juliana is not an exception. She is kind and understanding towards us and treats us like her own. She hardly has any temper. She is a great math and science teacher, brings us the the science lab for science and math lab for math. When we do not understand something, she will explain until we understand thoroughly. I feel really blessed and fortunate to have such great teachers!!! I will never ever never ever never ever never ever forget them and their teachings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Body Language

Hi there! Everybody!
Now let me share with you three things that I have learnt from the Body Language instructor.
1. The way to address or introduce people.
2. The way to answer a phone or call someone.
3. The right posture when I walk or sit.

Why did they impact me?

Well, sometimes when I bring a friend home, I never introduce him/her. And through this course, I have learnt that I need to introduce people who do not know each other. And whenever I telephone someone, I will say " May I speak to so and so?" Now I know the correct way. "Good evening! May I please speak to so and so?" You might also realise that I walk with my shoulders slouching and it is very bad for my bones. Now I know I must be full of confidence, straighten my back and my shoulders and walk with my legs being parellel. It was sooooooooooo intereeeeessssssttting!!!

Bye! See ya back in school!
*By the way, in my last blog, the time and date was written wrongly. Sorry. I forgot to change them.

Entrepreneurial fair

Hi! Everybody.
The entrepreneurial fair was mainly about raising funds to help the less fortunate people. Well...The primary sixes set up stalls to raise funds. The stalls were decorated with coloured paper and drawings of their "product". There were many stalls and they were selling a wide variety of things. They included mugs, can cranes and badges. Games included darts and balls. The service of the stallholders were good and in fact, maybe excellent! Some had free delivery right to the class(it was a bit disturbing). They used creative ways to publicize their products or games. A boy who was selling lollipops came to me and asked me to buy a few! One of the prefects even threatened me to buy his product!!!The ball-throwing game was good. They gave away balls as prizes.
The can cranes stall was very good. I liked the can cranes that they were selling. It was really very nice and quite creative. They used drink cans and made them into cranes. It was good! But too bad, I did not bring money that day...(sigh)
Something bad about this fair was that the stallholders actually PULLED people to their stalls. I hated it!!! They kept on promoting their products without stoppng.
To improve the fair, the stallholders can maybe make more of their products so that they will not be out of stock. They should welcome the customers when they patronize the stalls.
IfI am given an opportunity to set up a stall, I would set up a stall to promote the Habits of Mind. I would make magnets or maybe badges to promote the different habits. I would draw symbols of the habits to plubicise my stall. To increase sales, I would give stickers to people who buy the badges or magnets.
I would rate the fair FOUR STARS OUT OF FIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!One star gone because of the prefect who threatened me. :)hehe
